Sangat tidak bertanggung jawab! Ada tamu sudah menunggu driver lama 2 jam lebih tak kunjung tiba. Giliran ditelpon resepsionisnya tidak memberikan solusi dan tidak sopan matikan telepon tiba-tiba tanpa kejelasan! Tamu minta refund karena mau cari taxi lain, tapi tidak dikasih refund. Sangat buruk! Makanya recruit pekerja yang pintar dan punya pengalaman di bidangnya agar resort kamu ga dicap buruk!

Definitely not a 5-star experience

On our first day, we arrived at the hotel, left our belongings in the room, and went out again. When we returned in the evening, we took a shower and wanted to relax on the sofa for a while. That’s when we noticed that the sofa was wet and smelled strongly of urine.

We immediately reported the issue to reception. The first response was to send an employee with room spray. Sorry, but this is simply not the solution we expected from a 5-star hotel. We made it very clear that spraying air freshener was not an acceptable solution, especially since the entire room already smelled of urine.

It then took around 1.5 hours before we were finally able to change rooms. This was a significant inconvenience and not what we expected from a 5-star hotel.

The next day, after breakfast, we got ready to leave the hotel. Suddenly, our room door would no longer open, which caused us to lose even more time while the issue was being resolved.

As compensation for all these issues, we were offered a one-hour late check-out. Considering everything we experienced during our stay, we honestly feel that more could have been done as a gesture of goodwill under these circumstances.

To be fair, the staff were very friendly, helpful, and clearly made an effort to assist us. However, despite their efforts, this was definitely not a 5-star experience.

What makes the experience even more disappointing is that this was the most expensive hotel of our entire trip to Bali, yet unfortunately it was also the worst one.

Saya menginap di The Sakala Resort Tanjung Benoa selama 3 hari dalam rangka perjalanan bisnis. Jujur, meski agendanya cukup padat, suasana resort ini berhasil memberikan efek refreshing yang pas di sela-sela kesibukan kerja. Lokasinya tenang dan pas untuk melepas penat di sore hari. Sarapan yang Luar Biasa (10/10): Ini adalah bagian paling juara selama 3 hari menginap! Variasi menu sarapannya sangat kaya dan rasanya benar-benar enak tanpa ada yang gagal. Pilihan masakannya seimbang antara hidangan khas Indonesia dan Western. Dari sajian lokal yang otentik sampai pastry, egg station, dan menu masakan Barat—semuanya disajikan dengan kualitas yang sangat baik. Menjadikan breakfast sebagai momen yang paling dinantikan setiap pagi. Suasana Sore di Pantai: Memasuki waktu sore, berjalan ke area pantai di depan/area dekat resort terasa sangat menenangkan. Pemandangan lautnya makin hidup dengan deretan kapal-kapal kecil dan perahu watersport yang tertambat atau melintas pelan. Pengalaman Spiritual & Sentimentil: Ada satu momen yang sangat berkesan dan begitu menyentuh hati saat saya di sana. Saya sempat menyaksikan prosesi upacara larung abu (pelarungan) di tepi laut lepas. Melihat ritual adat Bali yang begitu sakral dan khidmat di tepi pantai memberikan kesan sentimentil yang mendalam dan tidak terlupakan. Tips: 1. Jangan Sampai Lewatkan Sarapan: Alokasikan waktu khusus di pagi hari untuk menikmati breakfast. Jangan terburu-buru, karena variasi menu Indonesia dan Western-nya layak dicoba perlahan. 2. Jalan-jalan Sore di Pantai: Sempatkan keluar ke area pantai sekitar jam 5 sore untuk menikmati angin laut dan pemandangan kapal-kapal kecil saat matahari mulai redup. 3. Hormati Adat Lokal: Jika kebetulan melihat upacara adat atau ritual keagamaan di sekitar pantai, tetap jaga jarak yang sopan dan nikmati momen sakral tersebut dengan penuh rasa hormat. 4. ☺The staff were friendly, helpful, and made an effort to assist us whenever we had an issue.

☹The room smelled strongly of urine, and the sofa was wet and smelled of urine. It took around 1.5 hours to change rooms, and unfortunately, the second room also had a rather unpleasant and unusual smell. It smelled as though the air conditioning system had not been properly cleaned, although this is only our personal impression.

We had deliberately chosen a room category above the standard room after reading previous reviews, hoping to avoid some of the issues mentioned by other guests. Unfortunately, this did not make a difference in our experience.

The next day, our room door also stopped working, causing us to lose even more time. Overall, the issues and the way they were handled did not meet the standards we expected from a 5-star hotel. The compensation offered was also insufficient considering the circumstances.

☺Beautiful resort and incredibly friendly staff. Really enjoyed our time there with the family.

☹It was a little isolated from Nusa Dua in general and if you planned on walking to places it was a little removed from most shops. A really enjoyable stay, especially thanks to the thoughtful birthday setup, comfortable room, and great breakfast.

☺We had such a wonderful stay! The facilities were great, the beds were very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked really well.

We were celebrating my friend’s birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special. They decorated the room beautifully, and the team was incredibly accommodating and helpful even before we checked in. It really made the whole experience feel extra special.

The breakfast was also incredible, with a great selection  and everything being delicious. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely love to come back!

☹The only area that could be improved was the communication with the reception. There were a few occasions when we had to call several times to get assistance in the room or to have someone come up to help with our luggage at check-out. There seemed to be some miscommunication at times.

Amazing holiday

Our stay at this beautiful Sakala resort in Bali was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine Balinese hospitality, warm smiles, and exceptional service. The entire property was beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by the kind of tropical scenery that makes you feel like you’ve truly escaped from everyday life. Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. Waking up to the stunning surroundings and enjoying the resort’s atmosphere was a highlight of our stay. The staff deserve a special mention — everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional without ever being intrusive. They went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. We return to this hotel time and time again and it looks the same as when we first stayed. All the staff are lovely and very attentive. They really make you feel at home and that nothing is too much trouble for them. 

The amenities are awesome over the years we've eaten at the pool bar, the beach club restaurant, we've had a romantic beachfront dinner experience and most recently their tapenyaki experience. All are amazing and if you can do them all... You should. 

Their breakfast buffet is the best I've ever experienced, you can choose to have western, Indonesian, Indian and continental food options. And there's even a chocolate fountain with fruit for the kids (you know I had that). One thing I wouldn't sleep on, the Nasi Jingo option if you do stay! 

The spa is lovely and relaxing. Yes you can go down the road and get a much more affordable spa option, but I promise you the experience you receive and the setting is totally different and non comparable. I reccomend booking an evening massage after your days activities or a full relaxation package for a lounge day.

Until recently I've gatekeped this hotel but it's about time I supported it by leaving the review it deserves. Thank you Sakala team and I hope you still have space for us on our next return. You're all awesome. Terima kasih / matur suksma. Sampai jumpa lagi.

The Indian food was absolutely amazing!  Everything was delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. A special mention to the Indian chef, narendra singh who was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I highly recommend Sakala Bali Resort to anyone looking for the best accommodation at reasonable price.
The resort was absolutely stunning and the staff was extremely polite and hospitable.

I loved every part of my stay here food people and location was top class I’m definitely coming back the only thing I will do differently next time is book a room on a higher floor I was feeling a little below ground level I must say this is most likely my fault for not looking at the location of my room prior to booking ! As I said my fault next time I’m going to get one of the rooms with swimming pool access from the balcony … can’t wait thanks for a great time we loved Bali

Ultimate family resort
Such a well designed place. Countless amenities and attractions, spacious rooms, multiple pools and restaurants, all surrounded by stunning nature. Our whole family enjoyed our stay immensely. It was an incredible experience; the hotel had everything needed for relaxation. My mother and I had a massage—it was excellent, and the therapists were very professional. Wonderful hotel and excellent staff. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay, after traveling to more than 30+ countries and experiencing so many hotels, I must say Sakala is now on my top 3 favourite. The services they offer are excellent, all restaurants they own are of great quality and delicious food, the property is beautiful, the room was fantastic, and the staff super friendly and helpful. The live music and shows by the beach bar are also nice. The manager Nany was kind and helpful all the way and we felt so taken care of! We recommend this horel and hope to come back 😊

Great Experience
Really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel was lovely and we were very impressed with the service. The atmosphere was so relaxing and chill, which made it a perfect place to unwind. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. A special mention to Demmy, who was especially kind and helpful and really made us feel well taken care of. Our room was also very spacious and comfortable. The hotel has so many activities to enjoy, so there’s always something to do. Breakfast was delicious with lots of different choices too. Everyone was genuinely so nice and the service was great. They really made this trip extra special and memorable for us. We had a great time and would definitely come back again for holiday!

Regarding the room servicing, our housekeeping team works through the resort in sections throughout the day, so unfortunately it can be difficult to know exactly when each guest would prefer their room to be made up. We’re always happy to work around a preferred time, however, and guests are welcome to give us a quick call if they would like their room serviced at a particular time.

We’d also like to offer some reassurance regarding the pool ladder. The ladders are securely anchored to the balcony deck. By design, however, the submerged section is not fixed to the pool itself, as doing so would compromise the integrity of the pool structure. We have also reinforced this particular anchorage further for additional reassurance.

Beautiful place..  Rooms nice but werent cleaned properly. By the staff..  Food average- not what was described.,  Cocktail - not much difference/variety for a place with all the bars and restaurants. They ran out of different stuff and took a week to replenish it. Played same music over speakers all the time. Some staff weren't good with english.

Regarding the prices, we benchmark with other similar hotels and we are mostly in the lower range, but of course we may not compete with standalone restaurants which have lower taxation.

Expérience catastrophique au Sakala Resort Bali

Arrivés le 26/8, notre chambre n’était pas prête. On nous a envoyé au Beach Club en face en promettant de nous contacter sur WhatsApp, ce qui n’a jamais été fait. Chambre extrêmement humide (82 %), odeur d’humidité, draps humides et serviettes qui ne sèchent pas. Le ménage n’était pas fait malgré notre demande et nous avons dû insister plusieurs fois. Mon mari a aussi dû demander plusieurs fois un simple cendrier.

Après 2 nuits, une responsable s’est excusée et nous a surclassés en suite, ce que nous avons apprécié.

Mais le plus grave est arrivé au check-out : l’hôtel nous réclame 140 000 IDR pour une consommation au bar que nous n’avons jamais faite. Après vérification, ils reconnaissent l'erreur. Puis, alors que nous étions partis manger et que nos valises étaient à la réception, on nous recontacte et nous envoie un ticket avec mon prénom, mon numéro de chambre et une signature qui n’est absolument pas la mienne, en exigeant le paiement pour récupérer nos bagages.

Le ticket est daté du 26/8 à 14h47 : nous étions au Beach Club en face et je ne connaissais même pas encore mon numéro de chambre.

On a demandé les caméras. L’hôtel a refusé et reconnu que nous n’étions pas présents et annulé la facture, sans explication.
Utiliser mon identité et une fausse signature est extrêmement grave. De plus, la consommation concernait de l’alcool alors que je suis musulmane.

Hotel déconseillé qui mérite 0 étoile. On ne reviendra jamais!

We are genuinely sorry that several aspects of your stay fell short of expectations, particularly the communication upon arrival and the delays with housekeeping requests. We were pleased that our manager was able to meet with you during your stay, apologize personally and arrange an upgrade to a suite, which we appreciate you acknowledging.

We would also like to clarify the incident at check-out, as we fully understand why this caused you concern. Following our investigation, we established that this was a human error when a waiter mistakenly posted another guest’s bar consumption to your room number. Our Front Office team subsequently followed the normal settlement procedure based on the charge appearing on your room account. Once the discrepancy was investigated and it was confirmed that the consumption did not belong to you, the charge was immediately cancelled. At no point was there any intention by the resort to attribute another person’s consumption to you, misuse your identity, or charge you for something you had not consumed.

We sincerely regret the frustration and distress this administrative error caused, and the matter has been addressed internally with the relevant team to reinforce the importance of verifying room details when posting charges.

Regarding the humidity, your original reservation was for our Lower Ground – No View room category. Due to the lower-ground location, these rooms can naturally experience higher humidity, which is why dehumidifiers are provided in this room type. Nevertheless, we understand that the conditions you experienced were uncomfortable, and we regret that the room did not meet your expectations.

While we are sorry that your overall impression of The Sakala Resort Bali was so disappointing, we appreciate your feedback and have taken the service points raised seriously.

子供の誕生日のお祝いにお願いした、無料のケーキがとても美味しかったです。
また、子供向けアクティビティもとても楽しかったようで、子供がまたやりたいと言っていました。プールも広くて人も少なく、毎日プールで遊びました。スタッフも皆親切で楽しい旅になりました。

Highly recommend Sakala Resort. Spent my 50th birthday there and the staff and manager made it so memorable. The manager Demmy always checked on us to ensure we were happy. Lisa, Oming, Gita and Seta were the ladies that ensured all our needs were taken care of. Wow!!!! I cannot express how amazing this resort is.
